Full prologue episode of upcoming Gundam anime available online, legally!
The upcoming flagship Gundam anime, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury, has released the official prologue episode on YouTube for viewers worldwide.
The episode clocks in around 24 minutes and is subbed in English as well as other languages. It originally was made available in Japan a few months ago and only now is available, legally, outside of Japan.
It sets the stage for a new, alternate timeline where technology called GUND Format is used to help enable humanity to spread out amongst the stars. The episode, The Witch From Mercury Prologue, is set a couple of decades before the events depicted in the upcoming series.
The art and animation look amazing! And considering it is the first new Gundam series in almost 7 years, I’m eagerly waiting for the release.
It is set to air in Japan in October, but streaming and worldwide release has not yet been confirmed.
