Historic anime film Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise by Evangelion creators to get 4K Blu-ray release
Before the Gainax created the original Neon Genesis Evangelion series and before Bandai became a powerhouse for toys, anime and video games, they all took a risk on an anime film that would go on to create anime history.
Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise is a sci-fi story set in a fictional kingdom on a fictional planet where space flight is still a dream. Although the country has a Royal Space Force, they have not been able to do anything substantial in space. To change that and save the Royal Space Force, a man is convinced by his involvement with a religious woman to be the first person in space.
