There is hope for a new SNK vs. Capcom game!
If you’re a fan of fighting games, you’ve heard of SNK vs. Capcom. However, due to the bankruptcy of SNK, there has not been another entry into the series in almost 20 years. But that may change!
According to VGC, it seems that there is interest from both SNK and Capcom. Yauyuki Oda, a producer and designer for SNK, said that during the recent EVO fighting game tournament, there seemed to be a lot of interest for the SNK vs. Capcom merchandise. This was enough to signal to the companies involved that there might be enough pent-up demand for a new entry to the series.
“20 years is definitely too long for me. We’ll try and get it done in 10!” - Yauyuki Oda
Although there have not been official talks between the involved parties, the unofficial feeling is that they are all eager to see a new entry in the series.
